About our Lord Mayor's Fireworks Cruises

This year’s Lord Mayor’s show will be the 803rd and will take place on Saturday 10th November 2018. The spectacle begins with a morning river pageant where the new Lord Mayor will travel from the City of Westminster to the City of London on-board the Queens Royal Barge, Gloriana. After disembarking the Royal Barge, the Lord Mayor will travel to Mansion House to take part in the procession; a three-mile parade of more than 7000 people, 200 horses & 140 floats. The procession will travel to the Royal Courts of Justice in Aldwych where the new Lord Mayor will swear an oath of allegiance to the crown. At 1 PM the procession will set off again returning to Mansion House between 2 & 2.30 PM.

About our Lord Mayor's Fireworks Cruises

Our Lord Mayor’s Firework Cruises will depart from Westminster Pier and travel down-river following the same route the Lord Mayor travelled during the morning river pageant. The cruise will stop near Waterloo & Blackfriars to watch a magnificent firework display over the River Thames, marking the end of the Lord Mayor’s Show and the start of a new mayoral year.

After the fireworks, we will continue down-river towards the Tower of London & Tower Bridge passing many of London’s famous landmarks. During the cruise our crew will provide a live commentary pointing out places of interest along the riverfront. After the cruise we will return to Westminster Pier to disembark.
