Whether it be a Bank Holiday, Half Term or the Summer Holidays the River Thames makes a great day out for the whole family. We operate daytime cruises with Thames River Sightseeing daily throughout the year with sailings through the Thames Barrier between April & October. We also operate our 2-Hour Sunday Evening Cruise from Greenwich Pier every Sunday between May & September.

A wide number of festivals & events take place along the river including the Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, Totally Thames, Open House London, Open Garden Squares Weekend & the Lord Mayor’s Show. Our cruises are a leisurely & affordable way of travelling to or from these exciting events.

Knight School returns to the Tower of London, the crews of Cutty Sark (played by actors) & HMS Belfast (HMS Belfast’s actual crew!) will be on-board telling stories of the historic vessels pasts. What’s on during February Half Term? 1. Climb Aboard Cutty Sark Cutty Sark Visit the last remaining tea clipper, Cutty Sark. Originally built at Dumbarton, Scotland in 1869 she spent her working life transporting cargo including tea from China and wool from Australia. She has now been fully restored and is an award winning visitor attraction. Autumn Half Term

There’s plenty to do on & around the River Thames during half term. Thames River Services operate cruises between Westminster, St Katharine Pier (for Tower of London) & Greenwich linking some of London’s top destinations & attractions. Below we’ve listed five ideas & events for the August Half Term from sightseeing cruises on the River Thames to family experiences at the National Maritime Museum & Tower of London. Take a cruise through the Thames Flood Barrier This week is our last week of cruises to the Thames Flood Barrier. Five barrier boats depart Westminster Pier, St. Katharine Pier & Greenwich Pier everyday. The final sailing of the season is on Sunday 28th October.
